Illusions Of Reality

I can no longer see the light of day
Time has passed before my eyes
Behind each closed door is a portal
Everything is so distorted
Thoughts of murder are quite frequent within my mind
I may sometimes wonder if it's me in my head
My entire surroundings are completely intoxicating

These thoughts are haunting me
Because they want me to see
How we are no longer free
That we are just diseased
I can no longer breathe
Swimming through this cancerous ash
The life within our world has turned to bone and dust

The sands of time
Are flying into my eyes now
Blinding my vision into the future
The oceans rise up onto all the lands now
And swallow the earth whole

This reality is like thoughts within a dream
I wish I would wake up from this nightmare

And now the rivers are running black
From the ashes of the world
These winds will echo forever
For all time
What is the purpose to this insanity?
