Child's Prayer

Locked in my room I look
Through the window and I see the night but
It's lightened by
By the flames and I see
The human madness that burns in the streets

I'm a child with a look of terror (in my eyes)
I have many questions and no reply
But I want to forget
And I want to delete
The image of a man who dies

Over the walls of this town
I dream of places where I can run
Where I can play with my friends
I'm a child and not a man

When the morning will come
I will try to forget
All the insanity that now
I can't delete
And then in memory of these nights
I will cry tears of rage
In my nightmares I will see
These nights of violence

Closed in my room I pray
But my mind is now far away from here
'cause I have lost my faith
And I think about the place
Full of happiness and smiles

Where the sun always shines
And the night we can live a life of fun
I don't want see any more
Cars on fire in the streets
Guns that kill other men and then blood
