Dragon Drums

Thunder in the heavens.
Lightning streaks the sky.
Hear, the drums are beating.
Lookout. It's dragon time.
So get in line, and beat on the drums.
Let's go.

There's a sound that strikes cold terns
in the heart of every man.
As flaming torches flicker
on the hills, in the glen.
A time in every season
when there's death upon the air.
A time for man to face his fears
'cause the dragon's left his lair.

Dragon drums beating into the night.
Fear in the hearts of all men tonight.

As the search begins in earnest,
And the drums are beating fast.
The men set out in the knowledge
that tonight could be their last.
The future of the village
rests upon this awful quest.
Until the beast has breathed it's last,
the drums will never rest.

With sword in hand, and torches high.
The men sound out their battle cry.
Kill the beast.

The battle's all but over,
and the beast is in retreat.
But we will show no mercy
'til he lies dead at our feet.

now the beast lays down to die.
