The Thing From The Black Reef

Wandering Midget
We live in a town near northern ocean where sailors and their tales
A dark past shadows its dead end streets
they hold the secrets of a hundred years

The father raised the thing from the black reef

Our town would die without the religion
that came from beyond the seas
a mystic cult brought luck for the fishers
...those under brotherhood's will

The father raised the thing from the black reef
and it wants your soul!

Hundred years ago they left the safe of shore
and under bloodred moon they sailed into their doom
Mist came from sea hiding evil being
It sunk their feeble boats
and plant its seed so old

Children were born with strange mutated forms
they built a mystic dome to worship frog-like gods
and night after night the streets are filled with fright
they sing their evil chants in temple of the damned

Please, God help us!

When the clouds are gone you still may see it
a shadow on the surface creeps
attracting the gulls with its fumes of decay
It spreads over town its plague

The father raised the thing from the black reef
and it wants your soul!
