Steven John Wilson is a British musician, author and member of several musical projects, Bass Communion, No-man, Incredible Expanding Mindfuck (I.E.M.), Blackfield, Storm Corrosion.
Best known as the Porcupine Tree progressive rock band founder. In addition to these musical projects, he is also successfully developing his career as a solo artist.
In addition to playing guitar and keyboards, Wilson, although self-taught, plays a variety of other instruments, including bass guitar, harp, flute and drums. At the same time, he does not consider himself a guitarist, considering songwriting and studio work to be his main calling.
