Craig Ashley David is a British singer-songwriter. David started creating music from an early age. His first guitar lessons were given to him by his father, who himself studied music and played in a musical group called the Eboney Rockers. As a teenager, Craig began to compose his own songs, and at the age of 14 he became a DJ on a pirate radio station. At the same time, he played at a local club. The first notable success for Craig was the victory in the national competition with the song "I'm Ready".
After that, Craig began working with Mark Hill from the duo Artful Dodger. Craig participated in the recording of the duo's album, including the successful single "Rewind".
Mark Hill later helped him record a solo album, "Born To Do It", released in 2000. Already the first single from this album, "Fill Me In", made Craig David the youngest British musician to occupy the first line of the national chart. Other notable singles by Craig David from this album are "7 Days" and "Walking Away". These compositions made him popular all over the world.
Subsequently, Craig David recorded the albums "Slicker Than Your Average" (2002), "The Story Goes..." (2005), "Trust Me" (2007), however they were not as successful as the first. One of his last major hits was a duet with Sting, "Rise & Fall" (2003, 2nd place in the UK).
Further, the singer's work was complemented by the albums "Signed Sealed Delivered" (2010), "Following My Intuition" (2016), "The Time Is Now" (2018) and 22 (2022).
