5 Seconds of Summer is an Australian rock music band, playing in the pop-rock, pop-punk genres.
Learned in the same college guys Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Kalum Hood and Ashton Irwin founded in 2011 group, recording and placing cover versions of hits on the Youtube channel. It attracted the attention of major music labels and publishers and began working with one of the largest record companies Sony / ATV Music Publishing. Promotion in the social networks of the mini-album "Unplugged" allowed them to achieve success in the charts.
2013 marked the breakthrough of the group into the environment of popular performers - in February it was announced that the group will go to the world tour "Take Me Home Tour" with one of the most successful boy bands, One Direction. Exit in 2014 debut album 5 Seconds Of Summer has strengthened the popularity of the band - it reached the top of the Billboard 200 and topped the charts of many countries. This brought them victories in 5 nominations of MTV Europe Music Awards (Best New Act, Best Push Act, Best Pop Act and Best Australian Act) and many other awards.
